Rotary Club of Delhi Premier Organises HPV Vaccination Drive at Metro College of Health Sciences and Research, Greater Noida

Greater Noida, 05 May 2026:

The HPV Vaccination Drive was successfully organised by Rotary Club of Delhi Premier, in technical coordination with Metro College of Nursing, at Metro College of Health Sciences and Research, Greater Noida, on 05 May 2026. The initiative was conducted in support of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s campaign against cervical cancer, after obtaining due permissions from the DM Office, CMO Office, and DIOS Office, and while strictly following all prescribed government protocols. The event was held under the leadership of Dr. Sonia Lal Gupta, Managing Director, with guidance from Dr. Kanak Lata, Director Education, and support from Dr. Praveen Kr. Gaur, Director Campus; Dr. Prachi Awasthi, Principal, College of Nursing; Prof. Muzaffar Makrani, Dean Academic, Mr. Prashant Thakur, Vice Principal; Mr Ishwar Pathania Vice Principal, Paramedical and faculty members, healthcare professionals, and trained nursing staff. A total of 150 adolescent girl beneficiaries from different schools in Noida were successfully vaccinated after obtaining proper parental consent. The drive aimed to promote awareness and prevention of HPV-related diseases, with a special focus on early immunisation among adolescent girls. Rotary Club of Delhi Premier is one of the distinguished Rotary clubs in Delhi NCR and part of Rotary International’s global network of over 45,000 clubs worldwide. Known for impactful humanitarian initiatives, the club has earned international recognition, including the prestigious Programs of Scale Grant in 2024. Its membership includes eminent leaders from business, healthcare, law, finance, and education, working together to advance community development and social transformation. The initiative also provided nursing students with valuable hands-on exposure to community outreach, immunisation practices, and preventive healthcare delivery.
